Berkeley Global Access Program (BGA)

School Introduction

Founded in 1868, the University of California, Berkeley is one of the most prestigious public research universities in the United States and a world-class institution located in California. Along with Stanford, Harvard, and MIT, it is known as one of the four academic pillars of American society, and stands as the flagship among over 30 "Public Ivy" universities.

UC Berkeley's Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science programs all rank first in the nation, with over 130 science, engineering, and social science programs consistently ranked in the national Top 10.

Program Details

The program enables students to take courses across all departments at UC Berkeley for one semester or one academic year. Students enroll as full-time registered students in a fully immersive experience and receive official transcripts and credits upon completion.

Suitable Majors

All disciplines open (Restrictions: Graduate courses in Business, Law, Physics, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Economics not available; Architecture/Landscape not open; max two Physics courses; Business/Economics/Engineering/CS seats limited)
